Airport furniture, 2010. The airport is a large fluent space, with glass fronts. A lot of existing project that try to solve the travellers needs at the airport separate each passengers and brake the huge terminal space into little claustrophobic cubicles. The equipment we've designed for the airport area are seating & storage stations made for individual passengers but placed together. When a passenger chooses to use a seating station he puts the hand luggage underneath him in the area underneath the seat and puts the lid down closing the storage space. Due to the airport security the content of the storage space had to be visible so I searched for a fitting material and found punched steel sheet to be perfect to make the whole station. It is strong, but light and see through. |
